Market will open flat as SGX Nifty is down by 2 points whereas Nikkei trading positive. Japanese stocks give back some recent gains, but Australian insurers rise on relief that damage from Cyclone Yasi appears to be far less than feared. Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, others closed as Lunar New Year.Nifty important support at 5410 and 5350 levels.


Oil prices rose on Wednesday as worries persisted that upheaval in Egypt could spread across the Middle East and North Africa, source of a third of the world's supply of crude.

Prices had lost some steam earlier after the dollar rebounded as nervous investors sought a safe haven and as data showed US crude stockpiles rose for a third straight week.

To attract foreign manufacturers to invest in India, a group of ministers is considering a proposal to raise Foreign Direct Investment limit in the defence sector to 49% from the current 26%.

US Markets :
The Dow Jones Industrial Average inched up in choppy trading to claim its fifth gain in six sessions, as investors paused following a strong run-up and fresh uncertainty in Egypt.
