29 Aug.2011 Sensex marked 3rd biggest intraday rise in 2011

Sensex whooped 600 points after last week fall.This is the third biggest one day rally of 2011.Sensex ended at 16448.91.Broad based Nifty ended at 4921.85 with a gain of 174.05 points.
All sectoral indices gained today. IT index was the top gainer by 5.06% followed by Metal Index(4.63%);Realty Index(4.43%); Teck(4.15%); Bankex(4.10%) and Capital Goods Index(4.05%).
In Nifty50 stocks,just 2 stocks ended in negative.Relcapital gained the most by 13.22% and ended at 389.7 as RBI released draft guideline for new Banking licenses into private sector.ONGC lost the most by 1.42% and ended at 274.
SBI was the turnover topper by the traded value and Unitech was the most traded stock by the traded quantity on NSE.
Advance/Decline Ratio was positive as 1249 stocks gained and just 208 stocks declined today on NSE.

The Sensex closed at 15862 (provisional), down 284 points from its previous close, and the Nifty closed at 4749 (provisional), down 90 points. The CNX Midcap index lost 2% and theBSE Smallcap index closed with 2.7% loss. The market breadth was negative with advances at 231 against declines of 1212 on the NSE.


In Nifty50 stocks, HEROMOTOCO gained the most by 3.14% and ended at 1962. and RELCAPITAL was the top loser by 12.33% and ended at 343.

The markets lost moderately today and IT, metal and banking were the worst performers of today's trade. The Sensex closed at 16168 (provisional), down 117 points from its previous close, and the Nifty closed at 4848 (provisional), down 41 points. The CNX Midcap index was down 0.9% and the BSE Smallcap index lost 0.8%. The market breadth was negative with advances at 490 against declines of 944 on the NSE. 
In Nifty50 stocks, DLF gained the most by 2.80% and ended at 187. and JPASSOCIAT was the top loser by -5.22% and ended at 59.05.

The Sensex closed at 16256 (provisional), down 243 points from its previous close, and the Nifty closed at 4876 (provisional), down 73 points. The CNX Midcap index was down 1.1% and the BSE Smallcapindex lost 0.5%. The market breadth was negative with advances at 540 against declines of 881 on the NSE.  


In Nifty50 stocks, RANBAXY gained the most by 1.08% and ended at 472. and TATASTEEL was the top loser by 4.62% and ended at 453.55.

Indian markets took a breath after last week selloff. Asian markets also recovered smartly.HangSeng recovered nearly 450 points from its day low of 19047.64. European markets trading positively and all were witnessing bounceback, thats why Indian markets turned around.
Today markets bounced back on all round buying.Nifty ended at 4905.05 after gaining 59.4 points. Sensex gained 200.84 points and ended at 16342.51.
Among BSE sectoral indices, Oil & Gas index gained the most by 2.55% followed by Metal & Power by 2.16% and 2.09% respectively.
In Nifty50 stocks, Sail gained the most by 7.49% and ended at 111.3 and Gail was the top loser by 3.87% and ended at 413.05
Infy was the turnover topper by the traded value and Unitech was the top traded stock by the traded quantity.

 Asian markets were trading firm. China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.24% or 6.04 points at 2,540.40.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 1.19% or 230.84 poinst at 19,630.76.
Japan's Nikkei was up 0.18% or 15.53 points at 8,734.77.
Singapore's Straits Times added 0.32% or 8.68 points at 2,742.31.
South Korea's Seoul Composite was flat at 1,745.08.
Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted rose 0.76% or 56.04 points at 7,399.

Fresh waves of selling, due to carnage across the globe, knocked down the market. The 50-share NSENifty slipped below the 4800 for the first time since May 25, 2010 led by fall across sectors. Even the 30-share BSE Sensex touched the 16,000-mark.Nifty recovered smartly from its today's bottom of 4796.1. Blog published on 9th Aug.2011, Nifty took support around 4790 level and bounced back to close at 4845.65.
Among BSE Sectoral indices, IT index plunged the most by 4.41% followed by Capital Goods index. Realty Index was the only gainer index on BSE. 
In Nifty50 stocks, JPASSOCIAT was the top gainer by 3.00% and closed at 60.00.TATAMOTORS was the top loser by 5.58% and closed at 710.05. Infy was the turnover topper by the traded value and Suzlon was the most traded stock by traded quantity on NSE today.

The NSE Nifty has touched a new 52-week intra-day low of 4,933.50 as global indices battle bloodbath. The earlier low of 4,946.45 was touched on August 9.Nifty was trading at its lowest level since May 2010 led by cut in 47 stocks. India VIX shot up 9.3% to 27.84.
European markets plummeted further on gloomy outlook on global economic recovery; Germany's DAX lost 4%. France's CAC and Britain's FTSE lost 2-3%. The Dow Jones futures shed more than 200 points and Nasdaq futures tumbled 50 points.
Back home, the 30-share BSE Sensex tumbled 388 points to 16,452 and the 50-share NSE Nifty dropped 116 points to 4,941. Market breadth was extremely weak; about six shares dropped for every one share gained. The broader markets were down 2-2.5%.
In Nifty50 stocks, DLF was the top gainer by 3.11% and closed at 182.50.RELINFRA was the top loser by 7.44% and closed at 418.50.
