Market reminded the bad memories of 8th Jan 2008.Down trend continued on the 4th consecutive day also. Nifty plunged by 159.70 points and ended near its low at 5888.55 while Senex ended at 19639 with a fall of 544.80 points.
All BSE Sectoral Indices ended in negative.Metal index was the top loser with 4.38% fall followed by Auto(3.48%),CD(3.38%), FMCG(3.15%).
IDFC was the only gainer in Nifty50 stocks, rose just 0.03% to end at 167.95.Hindalco was the top loser with 7.42% drop and ended at 232.70.
SBIN was the turnover topper by the traded value and IFCI was the top traded stock by traded quantity.
Advance/Decline ratio was negative in the ratio of 10.33 : 1 as 1270 stocks declined and 123 stocks gained today.
