Market Opened flat and ended with losing scenario after showing sincere volatility. Nifty made intraday high of 5747.65 and ended at 5699.15, shedding 24.90 points. Sensex lost 94.73 points and ended at 18997.32.
Among BSE Sectoral Indices, Metal Index shone and stood the top gainer by gaining 2.04% followed by Realty by 2.02% whereas IT Index was the top loser with 1.19%.
In Nifty50 stocks, SAIL gained the most with 5.25% rise and ended at 170.5 whereas Ambujacem was the top loser by 2.71% to end at 127.25
SBIN was the turnover topper by its traded value and Shreeashta was the most traded stock by the traded quantity on NSE.
Advance /Decline Ratio was slightly negative as 690 stocks declined and 665 stocks declined today on NSE.
