Nifty ended above 6000 mark at 6009.25 and Sensex ended at 19956.56. Nifty gained 118.5 points and Sensex gained 371.12 points.
All round buying seen in the market today and as a result, all BSE Sectoral indices ended in green.Bankex was the top gainer sector with 2.70% rise followed by Consumer Durables, IT and Teck gained by 2.57%, 2.37% and 2.02%.
In Nifty50 stocks, IDFC gained the most 4.71% and ended at 193.5 whereas Powergrid was the top loser which ended at 101.15 falling 0.74%
SBI was the turnover topper by turnover value and SEL Manufacturing Company was the top traded stock on NSE today.
On NSE, 951 stocks gained and 430 stocks declined today.
