11 Nov Market Closing Updates:
Korean Composite Index plunged 2.7% after massive (USD 1.9 billion worth of shares) selling in final minute of trading. It is being attributed to failure of US President Barack Obama and his Korean counterpart failing to reach free-trade accord.
Spot Nifty strong support at 6170
Heavyweights like Reliance Industries ONGC, TCS, Bharti and BHEL plunged 2-3%. DLF slipped 4%. L&T, SBI, HDFC, Wipro, ICICI Bank, ITC, HUL and HDFC Bank were down 1-2%.
In midcap space, Honeywell Automation, Network 18, Sterlite Tech, Novartis India and IndusInd Bank gained 3.7-5% while Himadri Chemical, Apollo Tyres, SpiceJet, Jain Irrigation and Wockhardt lost 4-6%.
In smallcap space, Hitachi Home, Best and Crompt, Entegra, Ruchinfra and Delta Corp went up 10.8-14.6%. However, Shree Ganesha Jewel, Sical Logistics, Splash Media, PNB Gilts and Atlanta fell 6-10%.
About 1571 shares advanced while 1570 shares declined on BSE. Nearly 308 shares were unchanged.
Nifty Closed 73.50 points down at 6202.50
Sensex closed 277.06 ponits down at 20598.65
