Market opened slightly positive and traded flattish.A very lackluster market witnessed low volumes.Market went in negative terrotory after negative opening on European markets.Nifty was rangebound between 5102 and 5138 till 3 pm.But some short coverng pulled the market in the last half an hourand finaly closed at 5147.60 gaining 31.35 points while Sensex closed at 17207.61 gaining 109.28 points for the day.
ABB gained maximum on Nifty50 by 3.16% and Lichsgfin gained 3.08% while FMCG leader Hindustan Unilever was the top loser with 4.38%
On BSE Sectoral indices,IT was the top gainer with 1.27% and Auto index was the top loser shedding 0.93%
Market breadth was negative to 1.91 : 1 as 850 stocks declined while 443 stocks gained today on NSE.
