Today market opened flat and was traded in positive territory in a short range.Nifty was rangebound between 5237 and 5258.In the last session, short covering pulled Nifty to make an intraday high of 5269.95.Again Nifty witnessed resistance at 5270 level.Reliance gained nearly 1.5% in the last half an hour.Nifty closed at 5255.20,gained 9.30 points while Sensex closed at 17556.48 gaining 37.22 points.
CD index was the top gainer by 0.86% followe by Oil&Gas.Realty lost by 1.35% today.
Bhartiartl gained most by 3.97% to close at 312 and HDFC lost by 1.75% to close at 2690 among Nifty50 stocks.
Overall market breadth was equal as 626 stocks gained and 654 stocks declined today on NSE.
