Market opened flat and traded mix.Nifty touched an intraday high of 5137.40.Nifty closed at 5116.25,gaining 14.75points after marking a low of 5092.05 in the last session.Sensex closed 45.79 points up at 17098.33
European markets were also in red at the time of closing bell in our market.Most of the sectoral indices on BSE closed in green.BSE IT index gained by +83.52 while Metal index was the top loser shedding -54.83 followed by PSU(-18.38) and Oil&Gas index(+89.50).
Herohonda was a top gainer among Nifty 50 stocks, gaining 3.89% to a close at 1949.
Maruti was a top loser among the Nifty50 stocks, losing 1.57% to a close at 1475.90.
