As said in today's morning blog,Nifty gave smart rally above its breakout level of 4835 and closed at 4877.10 near the day's high,gaining 75 points. Nifty future touched intraday high of 4893.50 and closed at 4890(at 15:30 hrs).Sensex closed at 16307.39 by gaining 269.04 points. European indices were also supportive by opening in positive nearly 1%.
Ranbaxy was the top gainer among Nifty50 stocks.It rose 8.59% to close at 445.65. Another major gainers were ACC(up 4.89%),Ultracemco(4.78%). Bharatforge,Ambuja and Hindalco were nearly up by 4%.
Bhartiartl slept further after yesterday's fall.Closed at 273.75 shedding 4.15% followed by Cromton Greaves,Asian Paints and Colgate Palmolive with nearly 1%.
Among BSE Sectoral Indices,all closed in green. Metal shone maximum among BSE Sectoral Indices by gaining 1.58% followed by Auto by 1.37%,IT(1.36%),Healthcare,Realty,Oil-Gas and Bankex by gaining nearly 1%.
On NSE today, 731 stocks rose while 544 stocks declined. In mid caps, 3m India , Asian Paints and Rane Engineering recorded a new 52 week highs.
