The markets closed with significant loss today and all sectoral indices closed negative. The Sensex closed at 15862 (provisional), down 284 points from its previous close, and the Nifty closed at 4749 (provisional), down 90 points. The CNX Midcap index lost 2% and theBSE Smallcap index closed with 2.7% loss. The market breadth was negative with advances at 231 against declines of 1212 on the NSE.
In Nifty50 stocks, HEROMOTOCO gained the most by 3.14% and ended at 1962. and RELCAPITAL was the top loser by 12.33% and ended at 343.
