Market opened today with a positive note and held the gains till the closing even after Asian Market closed negative.Nifty was volatile as it showed the low of 5269.65 in the mid session and agained bounced to close higher on expectation of good numbers from Reliance Industries today.
Nifty closed at 5306.25 gaining 36.90 points and Sensex gained 130.93 points and closed at 17704.92.
Among the BSE indices, Bankex gained the most with 1.74% while Metal index was the top loser by 0.79%.
JP Associates gained the most in Nifty50 stocks by 4.26% and closed at 159.10 whereas ABB lost the most by 3.44% to close at 823.90.
Advance decline ratio was negative as 588 stocks gained whereas 708 stocks declined today on NSE.
