On the very first session, market remained lackluster as major Asian markets were closed and US markets also will remain close for new year. Nifty ended with positive note by 15.75 points at 4640.05 whereas Sensex ended at 15533.95 with a gain of 79.03 points.
Among BSE Sectoral Indices, Oil&Gas was the top gainer by 1.38% and FMCG was the top loser by 1.32%.
In Nifty50 stocks, Bajaj-Auto was the top loser by 7.57% and ended at 1471 whereas Coalindia was the top gainer by 4.04% and ended at 312.8. IFCI was the turnover topper by the traded quantity and Reliance was by the traded value.
