Market gave strong rally today as IIP numbers were above expectations.Banking stocks pulled the sensex to end more than 2% jump and to close above 19 k mark first time after 18th Jan,2008.
Nifty ended at 5759.85 with 119.80 points of gains while Sensex ended at 19213.21 with 413.55 points in positive.
Among the BSE Sectoral indices, all the indices ended in positive.Bankex gained the most with 3.70%
In Nifty50 stocks, SBI was the top gainer with 5.83% and ended at 3158 while Idea was the top loser by 2.48% and ended at 74.85.
State Bank of India was the turnover topper by the valuations and Ispat ind was the turnover topper with shares traded today on NSE.
Today 709 stocks gained while 637 stocks declined on NSE.
