Dull market closed in positive after trading positively the whole day as Asian markets closed in positive and Asian markets are firm in positive.Nifty ended at 5114.2 gaining 35.60 points and Sensex closed at 17042.28 with 120.20 points in positive.
Among the BSE Sectoral indices, Oil&Gas Index gained the most by 1.46% as the index mover Reliance Industries gained 2.92% while Realty index was at bottom by 0.64% down in the losers' list.
Bhel was the top gainer in Nifty50 stocks and closed at 2395.50 with 3.04% gains.Unitech was the top loser in the Nifty index with 3.68% loss and ended at 68.10.
Market breadth was positive as 692 stocks gained and 601 stocks declined today on NSE.
